Born from a lifetime on the water

A family business with one name to protect.

Navigator Boats Australia was founded by lifelong boater Lloyd Miller and his son Ashton on a simple belief: adventure boats should combine offshore confidence, practical comfort and honest value.

After decades of boating, fishing and exploring Australian waterways, Lloyd had seen the same compromises repeatedly—capable boats without comfort, comfortable boats without fishing practicality, and premium boats priced beyond the reach of many Australian families.

“We measure success by the adventures our boats make possible.”

The Navigator approach

Premium capability. Sensible pricing.

Navigator brings together Australian design input, efficient international manufacturing and hands-on Australian completion. It is a deliberately transparent model built to deliver serious quality without the overhead and mark-up of a large production brand.

We do not hide where fabrication occurs. We focus on what determines the result: the design, specification, materials, supervision, inspection and the people accountable when your boat arrives.

Every stage has a purpose.

Quality is not a country of origin. It is a controlled process built around clear standards, careful checking and accountability.

01

Listen & define

We start with how you will actually use the boat: where you go, who comes aboard and what matters most.

02

Australian design

Hull, layout and systems are developed around Australian boating expectations and real-world practicality.

03

Detailed specification

Materials, equipment, finish and construction expectations are agreed before fabrication begins.

04

Specialist fabrication

CNC-cut marine-grade aluminium is fabricated internationally to the documented build specification.

05

Local completion

Fit-out, engines, trailer, electrical, plumbing and final systems are completed and checked in Australia.

06

Sea trial & handover

The finished vessel is inspected, tested on the water and handed over with personal support.

More than one model

Custom vessels for real jobs and real adventures.

Alongside the 760 Expedition direction, Navigator welcomes conversations about landing barges, practical commercial vessels and selected custom aluminium marine projects.

Every project begins with the intended use—not a catalogue. We work through load, access, layout, range, systems and budget before defining the right build.
